Champions League Final Betting: Bayern Big Favorites

The Champions League final is a match up, which not many expected, but Bayern and Chelsea pulled off big upsets in the semifinals with Bayern knocking off Real Madrid and Chelsea shocking defending CL champion Barcelona.
The big reason that Bayern is such a big favorite in this match is that they are playing on their home pitch and they look to become the first team since Inter Milan in 1965 to win the competition on their home field.
Still, in their last match Bayern was crushed losing 5-2 to Borussia Dortmund in the DFB Pokal final.
One key in this game is that a total of 7 players are suspended. For Bayern David Alaba is out and he will be missed, as he plays solid defense and he and Franck Ribery, who ranked 2nd on the team this Bundesliga season in goals (12), are a great pairing up front and he will be missed.
Chelsea captain John Terry is suspended after a stupid foul in the Barcelona semifinals and he scored 6 goals for the Blues in the England Premier League season and is an integral member of the squad.
Bayern wins matches by winning the time of possession battle and playing good defense, which they will have to do in this match. However, one concern for Bayern however, is the fact they have problems with the counter-attack, which their recent loss to Borussia Dortmund showed. [ Latest Champions League Odds and Analysis ]
Chelsea will have to jump on any counter-attack chances they get, especially if Bayern controls the ball for the majority of the match.
Toni Kroos will be along Bastian Schweinsteiger in the midfield and both of these players like to attack. That will be another key in this match, as Chelsea must play well in the midfield and now allow these 2 to give the "home" squad too many scoring chances.
Chelsea will be without a couple of key defenders in the match due to suspension and while central defenders David Luiz and Gary Cahill should play they are both banged up and not 100%. That is not good facing the likes of the Bayern attackers of Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery and Mario Gomez.
Daniel Sturridge and Frank Lampard led the Blues this EPL season with 11 goals apiece, but the Chelsea attack will need good matches from the duo of Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres. Drogba has been up and down this season and Torres has shown flashes of brilliance late in the season including netting a hat trick at the end of the season against QPR.
Chelsea G Petr Cech missed the last couple of matches with an injury, but will be ready to play in this HUGE match. He was sensational in the semifinals playing Barcelona and their awesome attack and he will be counted on for another solid performance against another great attacking squad in Bayern Munich.
Prediction: Man, I would love to pick Chelsea, but I think at home and because of the offense they have, Bayern will win this match outright.
